Jannisary is notable for many reasons like being the first Alliance world of it's kind and being the site of training for the second phase of the Vanguard Program, but it would first be famous for being the site of the Battle of Jannisary. A memorial would be built there to honor the brave men and women that died there and to this day, the Jannisary Memorial remains as one of the most-visited sites in Alliance space.
