Baxley is the nephew of stuntman and stunt coordinator Paul Baxley, the cousin of stuntman and director Craig R. Baxley, and the great-cousin of stuntman Craig Baxley, Jr.. His son is Hunter Baxley, who also performed stunts in Star Trek: Insurrection. His resume also includes television series such as Kolchak: The Night Stalker, The Dukes of Hazzard, Raven, Sliders (starring John Rhys-Davies), The Invisible Man, and Raines.
