A Star Power Path, more commonly abbreviated as SP Path, is a specially-designed guide that details the best way Star Power should be collected and used to get the best score possible for a song on a specific difficulty. These guides can be either written or drawn on a printable note chart. They are usually shown with numbers, like 2-3-2-2, for example. This would indicate that someone would pick up star power from two sections before activating, then pick up three, and so on. More detailed information on when exactly to activate can be given, too.
