Caroline Paterson (born 28th November 1965 in Kirkcaldy, Fife) is a Scottish actress, who appeared on Coronation Street as DC Weller. She first appeared in March 2008, to investigate the case where David Platt pushed his mother, Gail down the stairs of their home. She then reprised the role in December of the same year, investigating the murder of Liam Connor. She has also appeared in Doctors, The Bill, Casualty, Taggart and EastEnders, as well as being well known for playing a role in the Scottish soap, River City.
