"Sea-Hawks" is the name of the sports teams of Memorial University of Newfoundland, located in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. Until 1990 the teams were known as the "Beothuks”. They formerly competed in senior and university hockey and remain members of the Atlantic University Sport (AUS) conference and U Sports (formerly known as CIS) in other sports. Of note, the Beothuks represented Newfoundland in the 1967 Canada Winter Games Hockey Tournament, the first Canada Games. They finished 2-3-0 and were 4th in their 6 team pool.
