Calamarica is a large squid-like Mollusk with a primarily crimson red body. It has large yellow eyes with red pupils. It has a total of ten tentacles; eight arms arranged in pairs of two and two longer tentacles. The longer tentacles have tear drop-shaped clubs and are covered in serrated suction cups. The eight other arms also possess suction cups. The mantle is conical in shape, somewhat flattened, and is a purple color with sagittate triangular fins. Beneath the head is a sharp, rounded beak use to kill and tear into prey.
