The meaning of words within this language relied on the speed with which one said the word. Saying a word slower or faster would change the entire meaning of the word. The term kee'hwi in Rivas' language translated to "kiss" in English. Ravis attempted to teach some of this language to Hoshi Sato on Risa in 2152. Sato, a highly skilled linguist, had difficulty mastering the language and ultimately gave up. (ENT: "Two Days and Two Nights")
