Ernest Dudley Hare (born 5th December 1900, died 1981) appeared in Coronation Street in July 1969 as Sir Hubert Ridley, the bullying Chairman of brewery Newton & Ridley. His other parts include roles in No Hiding Place, A for Andromeda, Boyd Q.C., R3, Armchair Theatre, the 1971 adaptation of Persuasion, Village Hall, The Duchess of Duke Street and Cribb.
