Scott Howie is a goalkeeper who spent two years at Rovers from 2001 until 2003. He joined the Pirates in the summer of 2001 from Reading and made 90 league appearances, plus 16 in cup competitions, in his 24 months at the club. He was the first choice 'keeper for the whole of that spell, and missed just two league games. The two years that Scott spent at Rovers were two of the lowest in the club's history, with 23rd and 20th place finishes in the fourth level of English football – the lowest end of season placings the team has had since joining the Football League.
