Thought to have been just a myth made up by the Jedi, the Essence of the Force was a power given to Omri Vaono by the Jedi Council during the Star Forge Debacle. The being who possessed it had all of the Jedi Powers, plus a mastery of all forms of lightsaber combat. Anyone who possessed the power also had the mark of the Jedi on their upper arm. The symbol of the Jedi was inspired by the mark of the Essence of the Force.
