Play fights occasionally happen between two or more cats, but occur most often between kittens as kittens are more likely to have the playful nature. A way to tell the difference between a play fight and an actual Catfight is if the cats take turns being dominant, or if they switch roles in being the more powerful one. While play fighting, they rarely do more damage to each other than a few scratches. This even occurs during an actual catfight.
