Matthew is sulking because of the bills, Soo is angry because Sweep has eaten her pork scratchings. Sooty tells them to laugh at adversity, which they all try. Scampi tricks Sweep into testing his burglar booby trap - Sweep falls through it. Jack Dee enters: he is looking for something to make him laugh. Matthew and Sooty try everything, but it is Sweep's "gooseberry" that has him in hysterics. Sweep, flushed with success dreams he's on "Stars in their Eyes" as Pavarotti, Elvis, Stevie Wonder and the Sweep family as the Beach Boys.
