One hundred years after the events of Ocarina of Time, a swordsman called Rusl gives Link a task to deliever the Ordon Sword and Ordon Shield to Hyrule Castle. Link accepts, but he is asked to get his horse, Epona. Upon retrieving Epona from the springs and herding goats, the Ordon children, Malo, Talo, Beth and Colin call Link and tell him to buy a slingshot for them. The shop owner is depressed due to her missing cat, but Link retrieves the cat using a Fishing Rod what Colin's mother gave him.
