Mereel Fett was a Jiuzuriya clone of Alpha Ø2. He was a close friend of Spar, and became the 2nd-in-command of Spar's Crusaders. He adopted the last name Mereel, from Jaster Mereel, the adoptive father of the legendary: Jango Fett. By 20 ABY, after Spar's death, Jango's training was complete, and Mereel stepped down as leader of the Crusaders, and allowed Jango to led the Crusaders once again, with himself acting as Jango's second in command, after Jango, just like his father Spar before him.
