The Ranc gang was a criminal organization based on the Outer Rim planet Kaddak. Sometime following the Battle of Jakku, Terex, an Imperial stormtrooper who had fought in the battle, became the leader of the Rancs, until he gave control of the gang to Wisper when he joined the First Order, an organization formed from the remnants of the Empire. Terex reclaimed control of the gang from Wisper when he returned to Kaddak in 34 ABY. The Ranc gang then took part in the hunt for the Resistance starfighter pilot Poe Dameron. Many of the gang members were killed during the Battle over a desert planet.
