Surmak Stimson was a Bajoran, who together with Surmak Hoek, was a parent of Surmak Ren, who was born in 2319. Their name appeared in Surmak Ren's personnel file. (DS9: "Babel") This character was only mentioned in writing. Surmak Stimson was never seen or identified by gender, so it is not clear whether Stimson was Ren's mother or father. Surmak Stimson's name, like that of Surmak Hoek and Surmak Ren is an injoke to the lead characters of the animated show "Ren and Stimpy", as well as a reference to production staff associate Mark Stimson.
