Cherry Jones played Barbara Layton in the episode Eppur Si Muove. The Emmy and Tony Award winning actress is perhaps best known for her starring role on 24 where she played President Allison Taylor. She has also starred in a number of movies, including HouseSitter, The Horse Whisperer, Cradle Will Rock (with Philip Baker Hall), Erin Brockovich, The Perfect Storm (with William Fichtner), Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood (with David Rasche), Signs, The Village, Ocean's 12, Amelia and New Year's Eve. She currently stars with Jason Isaacs on the television program Awake.
