The Puurrgerr was a Wookiee clan from Kashyyyk. When Chewbacca was sold to the Trandoshan slaver Ssoh, he was put in one of Ssoh's ships holding cells. The Puurrgerr, Grrobahrr, and Chevappa clans were also in the cell. They questioned him at first but soon allied with him, broke out, took over the ship, and almost killed Ssoh.
