After the 4100 proclamation of the Central Majatran Union (CMU), the country was divided along ethnic lines, into two constituent republics. Its ethnic Kalopians generally resided in the Kalopian Republic, while its ethnic Tukaric population was mostly concentrated in the Tukaric Republic. In 4114, this system was scrapped.
