James Bradshaw Adamson (27 December 1921 – 13 January 2003) was a Major General in the United States Army. A graduate of West Point Military Academy, Adamson was commissioned into the Infantry and saw active service in Korea and Vietnam. After leaving the Second Brigade, Fourth Infantry Division in 1967, he was appointed to the professorial chair of Military Science at The Citadel Military College. Adamson was awarded the following decorations: Distinguished Service Medal (DSM), Legion of Merit (LM), Silver Star (SS), Purple Heart (PH), Bronze Star Medal (BSM) and Air Medal (AM).
