Nihon-Jan steel is a special type of steel, made by the Nihon-Jans and Rangers. It is made by hammering and twisting several iron rods into a single super-hard composite piece. This steel is able to take a full-force blow from a normal sword without receiving a scratch. It is used in Nihon-Jan katanas, as well as the saxe and throwing knives that Rangers use. Horace's new sword is also made of this material.
