Yambe-Akka is a goddess of death of witches. In The Subtle Knife, Serafina Pekkala plays the role of Yambe-Akka to mercy-kill a witch being tortured by Marisa Coulter. Witches say that she welcomes them with a smiling face and open arms, which is how Serafina acted when killing her fellow witch.
