A Stirring of Dust is a Forever Knight tie-in novel by Susan Sizemore, published in 1996. Fans' dislike of the cover prompted Susan M. Garrett to propose the Forever Knight Bookcover Contest. Although the fan-designed book covers were supposed to be for generic Forever Knight fiction, Sandy Choo designed new art for A Stirring of Dust as her entry in the contest.
