In the 2000 version, contestants no longer lost points for incorrect answers; instead, they get a "strike". Like in Baseball, if the contestant gets three strikes, then he/she is out. In addition, if both players are out, then both contestants lose the game and two new players were introduced. If a player missed a question on a Second Chance, they get two strikes, or if they already had two, would get one more. The design of the strike in this version of Twenty-One is similar to that of Family Feud, but in reverse.
