Custom of the One Moon is the engagement and marraige ceremony of Leuians. First a Leuian, male or female since equals, approaches the one they have chosen to be Khat'saras with for life. As they ask the other Leuian, the approaching Leuian must offer a gift, anything from jewelry to a personal belonging, to the Leuian they have chosen. The Leuian accepts the gift for a period of one moon, this part is also called Entering the Moon, during this time the Leuian looks inside themself to decide on his or her answer. If the Leuian gives the gift back then they have refused to become Khat'saras; there is no dishonor in this act. If the Leuian keeps the others gift then they have agreed to become 'Saras.
