A Proto-Waterbe is a primitive ancestor of the Waterbe. It is different to its evolutionary successor in that it has a flatter cranium, giving it less brain capacity but a tougher and more resisient skull. As the Crependia volcano erupted, the Waterbe were forced to become more intellegent to compensate for their weak bodies. The modern Waterbe race was born.
