The Circlings were a caste of the Quesoth, an insectoid sentient species that resided on the planet Quethold. The Circlings possessed a greater level of intelligence than the Quesoth Midlis, Soldiers and Workers, and their primary function was to act as advisors to the Quesoth Queen. Following the death of a Quesoth Queen, the Queen's Circlings would enter hibernation in the lower level of the deceased Queen's citadel and would later re-awaken to breed a new Queen.
