Chanda Bethari was a member of Twilight Company and was a participant in the Battle of Hoth. Along with fellow soldiers Parko and Barritz, Chanda had been pinned down by an All Terrain Scout Transport on the edge of the battlefield. Chanda was able to navigate the trenches to get closer to the walker, and began arming a detonator pack in an attempt to destroy it. As Chanda was backing away and unspooling the trigger wire, the explosive inexplicably detonated early, crippling the walker and knocking Chanda unconscious. Chanda awoke two days later in a bacta tank, having lost a leg.
