In this story Tom plays an antagonistic role from the start as a bullying sultan who utilizes a magic lamp to try and oppress Jerry Mouse (who plays the role of a commoner, like Disney's Aladdin). However when Jerry escapes into the Genie's Lamp Tom gives chase and is transformed into an evil and powerful genie as a result - he proceeds to hound down Jerry and the now usurped Genie of The Lamp (played by Spike): taking a monstrous size and showing off his newfound power. Jerry acts fast and uses the lamp to imprison the now Genie Tom ending his rampage.
