A regenerative force field was a type of force field used by the Cardassians. The Cardassian orbital weapon platforms were equipped with regenerative force fields. A central subspace power generator was used to feed power to all platforms. They proved impossible for Allied starships to pierce at the First Battle of Chin'toka.
