Frostkeep is a sovereign duchy and is thus ruled by a hereditary duke. The Duke of Frostkeep is the ruler of Frostkeep and highest authority of the Frostkeep Guards (also known as the Frost Guard). This position is inherited through the Marlson family, who has generally been decent rulers of the duchy. The responsibilities of the Duke include financial and judicial matters, renting out land and collecting taxes to pay for the town’s defences and upkeep.
