Straatdeuntje is the third song sent by Belgium in the Eurovision Song Contest overall. It was performed at the Eurovision Song Contest 1957 by Bobbejaan Schoepen. The song was performed first on the night preceding Luxembourg and finished in 8th place out of 10th with 5 points accumulated. It featured a whistling solo, and apparently, Schoepen is rumoured to have not known what the song was, until he arrived in Germany for the contest, therefore he rehearsed his entry only once.
