Commander Jack Bauer was the commanding officer of the USS Wineland. (Star Trek: Wineland) Due to a disagreement which Admiral Sitak backed Jack up, he rapidly departed from the USS Minnesota when she was thought to be returned to dock for good. He went on to rise through the ranks, eventually gaining command of the Intrepid-class, USS Wineland in which his daughter was stationed there as the Chief Flight Control Officer.
