Mrs. Morishita was much more level-headed than her husband, remaining calm and polite even as Fire Lord Zuko threatened Morishita. She often criticized her husband for his outspokenness. She had a good relationship with her daughter, whom she illegally freed from her chains after she was brought back to Yu Dao. Though not as vocal on the issue as her husband, she also opposed the Harmony Restoration Movement, as it would mean separating her family and dismantling the home they had built together.
