Quilsen was a Spiner involved with phetaril spice. After the death of Jabba the Hutt, Quilsen made the acquaintence a Pa'lowick singer by the name of "Lips Teenek" in a bar along the Outer Rim Territories. This singer was in fact Sy Snootles, having left the Max Rebo Band to pursue a solo career that immediately fell apart. When Snootles met Quilsen during her tour of the Outer Rim's less reputable venues, the down-and-out Spiner introduced her to phetaril spice. This would be a gateway to Snootles' lifelong spice addiction.
