Stephen Joseph Harper (born April 30, 1959) was the 22nd Prime Minister of Canada. He has been PM of the Confederation from 2006 - 2015. He has been a Member of Parliament for Calgary since 1993, also the year he married Laureen Teskey. He was leader of the Conservatives until resigning on October 19, 2015. Rona Ambrose is currently the interim leader. Harper has appointed 7 supreme court justices. Earlier this year Alberta voted in an NDP Government.
