Metriacanthosaurids were the first group of allosauroids to appear. They were large predators. The family was until recently called "Sinraptoridae", but this was a junior synonym (later-given name) and so lost priority when scrutiny was applied. Their members are split between the Wind and Fire Elements (like many theropod families).
