They have had one meeting in the FA Cup, a two-legged tie in the League Cup, a two-legged playoff semifinal and eighteen league games. The most notable meeting between the two teams was in the 1994–95 Division Two playoffs, when a 0–0 draw at Twerton Park and a 1–1 draw at Gresty Road saw Rovers progress to Wembley where they met Huddersfield Town in the final.
