Sunshine Kite Company has been flying kites on Redondo Beach pier since 1974. Tom Fine has owned the shop since 1999. The shop host 2 kite festivals a year the second Sunday in March and the second Sunday in October, and a yo-yo contest held in the spring.They also offer the Sunshine Kite Company Yo-Yo Class for yo-yos and diablos. In 1999 Randy moved to the manufacturing side, and Tom Fine and his wife took over. They started the yo-yo classes in 2003, and have had great success with lots of participation most recently they have been running a spring yo-yo contest.
