The RG420 features a mahogany body bolted to a maple Wizard III neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include a standard double locking tremolo bridge with a lockig nut and dual Ibanez Quantum humbucking pickups. The RG420RW, which was introduced in 2015, is a similar model with an exotic rosewood top. The RG421 is similar but with a fixed bridge.
