Pluto has a mean radius (average width) of 1,151km, which means one "side" of it is 7231km2; and a total surface area of 16,650,000km2. The United States has a total surface area of 9.83million km2 (although this includes Alaska, every island and every scrap of land). Pluto has twice the surface area of the USA, so if you squashed the surface of it out, it can fit into the USA. However, if you include Canada (a surface area of 9,984,670 km2), that brings the total to 19.81, so Pluto's surface would fit into area of the US and Canada combined.
