Ezra Krane was a reporter for the Washington Standard, and suspect during his appearance in The Crack in the Code due to his extensive knowledge of the details and circumstances relating to the murdered victim found. Krane was apparently informed by an anonymous source (supposedly the murderer) on countless occasions upon the details of the murder. Krane's mutilated corpse was found hanging from a flagpole supposedly murdered by his anonymous source to conceal the identity as the murderer from the press.
