In 1984, an interpreter who spoke both English and Afrikaans was stationed at Kiziba Camp. He proceeded to accompany the interrogator while he proceeded to interrogate four British prisoners to find out who among them was responsible for getting the MPLA oilfield rights, as the interrogator himself did not speak English and the British POWs did not speak Afrikaans. Although he was assigned to aid in the interrogation process against the Viscount and his compatriots, the interpreter himself did not actually know where the Viscount was located.
