Dr. Kyu Park was a human scientist. He discovered a series of old experiments on the pseudoscientific Parallel Tonality that had been taking place centuries ago, in the year 2153, under ridicule by contemporary scientists. Dr. Park was intrigued by the idea, and thanks to more advanced scientific techniques available in his time, he applied it to the Pilgrims' extranormal navigational abilities; it explained how the Navigator Savants knew what previous Explorer Savants had encountered.
