New Hiessgart is a city founded and governed by Professor Wilhelm Eiselstein , one of the renowned Ten Alchemists, when Hiessgart was overrun by Chimeras. Ed and Al arrive there after first seeing Hiessgart, which is somewhat the worse for wear and largely abandoned, except for the Pastor who looks after a church and its cemetary, where Selene Eiselstein , among others, has a grave. The city is relatively new and lies somewhere between Resembool and Central. It appears only in the first video game Fullmetal Alchemist and the Broken Angel, where it acts as the story's primary setting.
