Perseus was once a nameless ashrak in the service of the System Lord Zeus. He received his name when he succeeded in killing the Unas-hosted Goa'uld, Medusa, as well as taking the position of Zeus' personal assassin as Zeus gave him one of his favoured human servants to use as a host. Perseus, unlike most of Zeus' other underlords, stayed completely loyal to his master while he was imprisoned on Tartarus and even made a few failed rescue attempts. Perseus usually carried only a Kara kesh, but if the occasion needed it then he would also wear the armor of the Olympian Guard as well as carrying a zat'nik'tel.
