There are six films in the Star Wars Legacies series. This is an allusion to the six original main films in the Star Wars saga. All characters that appear in Star Wars Legacies were originally created for a canceled Star Wars video game codenamed "Damage" that was conceived by Red Fly. The game was to feature Darth Maul and tie into Star Wars: The Clone Wars; it was to be released in 2010 on the PC, XBox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii U. Production on Damage ceased in 2011 when LucasArts decided not to purchase Red Fly.
