Korfaise was a substance used in its gaseous form as a coolant for starships. The gas was white and dangerous to breathe but easy to avoid outside contained areas, as it was lighter than air. YT-1300s were known to use korfaise gas as the coolant for their main drive. Han Solo was able to sabotage a ship masquerading as the Millennium Falcon by using Leia's newly constructed lightsaber to cut the coolant lines and release the korfaise gas into the ship, incapacitating several Noghri onboard.
