Mary Magdalene was the woman healed of seven demons in Luke 8:2 and Mark 16:9, those who believe the Bible is literally true believe all that. According to Christian beliefs she was a follower of Jesus and the first person to see him after his resurrection. Non Canonical Gospels suggest Mary Magdalene could have been the wife of Jesus and had a full relationship with her husband. Those who don't believe the Bible can only guess who Mary Magdalene really was and whether she really existed.
