Stanley Wood wrote one episode of Coronation Street - Episode 1237 (22nd November 1972). An insurance salesman, writing was a part-time interest and he spent his evenings composing plays, one of which, Clogs was produced in 1975. His youngest daughter was the famous comedian, Victoria Wood, who was given her big television break by Peter Eckersley at Granada Television in 1979.
